Respect for diversity is a project developped British Council Romania!
And since i had the chance to get involved i want to share this with others! The general outcome of the project is increase the ability of individuals and organisations to contribute to the intercultural understanding and the strengthening of civil society of Romania.
I had the chance of beeing one of the people that contributed to the writing of a guide that gathers useful exercises and methods for youthworkers that work with young people, and are involved in projects dealing with diversity issues. I want to thank the entire team for the experience i shared next to them. The guide itself can be used when dealing with issues like diversity, fighting discrimination and intercultural understanding. Ca parte a proiectului Respect pentru diversitate iniţiat de British Council România, o echipă de entuziaşti formată din tineri implicaţi în mediul asociativ din România, reprezentanţi ai British Council şi Gerald – trainerul nostru londonez, a realizat ghidul Respect pentru diversitate.
Acest ghid este doar un produs al proiectului şi se doreşte a fi un instrument util pentru facilitatori şi toţi cei implicaţi în proiectele pentru tineri, ce ating aspecte legate de diversitatea culturală, dialogul intercultural şi şansele egale. Scopul proiectului Respect pentru diversitate este îmbunătăţirea abilităţilor cetăţenilor şi a organizaţiilor de a înţelege valorile şi principiile dialogului intercultural. Îndrăznesc să spun că pentru mine experienţa de a lucra la acest ghid a fost una extrem de utilă, am învăţat multe de la cei alături de care a am lucrat şi am aflat eu însumi mai multe despre subiect. Mulţumesc Oanei, Mariei, lui Gerald, Aidei, Florinei, Cristinei şi Roxanei pentru tot ce am învăţat de la ei.
