Short Biography Costin Dedu

Constantin Dedu is the President of Imago Mundi Youth Association, a youth organisation based in Arges County, Romania. He is Board Member for the Volonteurope Network Volonteurope Network , that has 50 member organisations in over 20 European countries.
He is actively involved in several EU project and in different working groups at european level, on different topics such as measuring impact of volunteering, active citizenship, nonformal education, sustainable tourism, life skills for young adults and life long learning as tool for development.
He is trainer for British Council Romania, unfolding workshops on skills and career development for young professionals. His professional goals are to use the expertise acquired so far so that he further develop his career as a trainer and build a career as an expert in education.

Constantin has completed internships and taken part in numerous training courses and seminars on volunteering and non formal education in Romania and abroad. He has also coordinated international youth camps in France, were he lived for half a year, and youth projects in Romania. He lived in Athens for one year, 2012 – 2013 , working as Grundtvig Assistant at the Hellenic Culture Centre Ifigenia Georgiadou and teaching adult learners. While in Greece, Constantin took on an active role in the local Romanian community, volunteering with the Hellenic – Romanian Cultural organisation Balkania Contemporană .
Constantin is currently involved in youth work and teaching in Romania, and has been working as trainer focusing on the Erasmus+ programme, for the Romanian National Agency from June 2014 until June 2016 .
He is passionate about traveling and meeting new people. He is also interested in promoting volunteering for people of all ages as a pathway to building strong, inclusive communities and in contributing to changing for the better the educational system.
Constantin has Masters degrees in European History and Educational Management, and he is currently undertaking a Masters on Training of Trainers at the University of Psychology and Sciences of Education, University of Bucharest, Romania. He is also a qualified History teacher.
